Forever inspired by Spain

I’m María Linares, the person behind Linares.

I grew up in Madrid, surrounded by a way of life that valued simplicity, quality, and long, unhurried summers. Espadrilles were always part of that, worn without thinking, just part of everyday life. I remember my parents and family wearing them constantly, and looking back, I realise how much that shaped what I’m drawn to today.

Linares was founded in 2022, but in many ways it began much earlier. It’s my way of holding onto that feeling and bringing it into everyday life.

I work closely with artisans across Spain, sourcing from small workshops that have been making shoes for generations, keeping those traditional techniques alive.

Every pair is made with care, designed to be worn, lived in, and loved over time.

Linares is, in many ways, a reflection of where I come from and the life I grew up in.
